Gardens for Life
The Zaher Shah Foundation has donated 5 jeribs (2.5 acres) of prime agricultural land from His Majesty’s Private Estate in Karez-e-Mir in Shakardarah to Gardens for Life, a registered charity in Canada and Afghanistan.
The Garden Training Centre constructed on this land will become a horticultural skills training facility and model demonstration site for the surrounding community and greater region.
Rural Afghans will be trained in horticultural skills for the purpose of income generation and improved livelihood.
